Yes, I am obsessed with this plant!
The Bird of Paradise was blooming during Hurricane Ike on Sept 13. These new blooms are opening today over 2 months later.

After Hurricane Humberto or gardens were a mess...but out of the "limbs and leaves" come these Rose Tree blooms 9/22/07
